Rite Of Passage

Helps the transition from boys becoming young men

Welcome to Rites Of Passage Scandinavia

Our Rites Of Passage camps, for ages 13 – 28, helps young boys navigate the journey from childhood to adulthood in a supported, mentored way. Led by a team of experienced facilitators, psychologists and therapists. In this camp, we will explore the elements and the value of rites of passage and how it can be benefitical for our teenagers and support the natural transition of becoming a young man.

What the rite of passage is?

  • A personal discovery about masculine spirituality and invitation to transition from one stage to the next.
  • A time to embrace the healing and awesome power of nature.
  • A process to address issues and challenges in life of loss, grief, the father wound, and relationships with
  • men.
  • An opportunity to examine life’s priorities and ask courageous questions about your next steps.
  • A chance to return to life with a renewed commitment to your gifts and the maturity of this stage of your life.

Love and growth!

Our Rite of Passage is not a boot camp. Boys are challenged and supported in loving, positive ways, and find that they can respond with courage and honesty. They find their own integrity, respect, passion, and leadership. With ongoing mentoring and practice, we support our initiates so they can put these qualities to work at home, in school and wherever they wanna go in life.

The Origins of Rites of Passage

For Thousands of Years all cultures found healthy ways to guide their young men through the challenges of adolescence and into adulthood. These rites of passage reinforced cultural norms, transferred wisdom between generations, and made young men’s roles clear. Unfortunately, in our culture, such traditions have been abandoned. Our young men – indeed our whole community – suffer when the boys don’t receive guidance, love and clarity during this vital time.

Explore Nature

Rites Of Passage is held in the Swedish nature. Being in nature, or even viewing scenes of nature, reduces anger, fear, and stress
and increases pleasant feelings. Exposure to nature not only makes you feel better emotionally, it contributes to your physical wellbeing, reducing blood pressure, heart rate, muscle tension, and the production of stress hormones.
